EUCOPE is seeking a new intern!

 

Starting date & period : as of 20 April 2018, for a period of 5-6 months.

Place of internship: Brussels, Belgium

Job Description

The internship covers all kind of public affairs activities, from monitoring of health-related legislative developments, drafting reports and analyses to stakeholder meetings but also online communications, etc. Set in a small team of 4, the internship will also require support in administrative and logistics matters.

The European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs (EUCOPE) is a trade association, which gives voice to over 900 small-to-mid-sized companies in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnologies – many of which active in rare diseases – and medical devices. EUCOPE represents its associate and corporate members towards national and international governmental organisations in particular towards the EU institutions and agencies.

Required qualities and qualifications

The topics we deal with include monitoring of EP legislative developments, general questions of EU law, health law & policy developments, and EU regulatory affairs.

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • A good background in EU policy matters
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Previous internship with the European Commission, other EU institution or EU industry representations (desirable)
  • Some prior knowledge of EU healthcare issues (desirable)

The applicant will also have the following qualities:

  • Interest in health policies at national and EU levels
  • Political sensitivity and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong analytical and summarising skills
  • Ability to develop personal networks
  • Fluency in English
  • Proven project and time management skills
