Job Opening: Communications Officer

EUCOPE – The European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs – is growing! We represent innovative small and mid-sized pharmaceutical and biotech companies across the EU. As we expand our communications activities, we are looking for a talented and dynamic Communications Officer with a strong focus on media engagement and strategic storytelling.

Your Role
As a Communications Officer, you will:

• Drive proactive press and media outreach by pitching stories, securing interviews, and managing relationships with top-tier EU and global media outlets
• Craft compelling press materials, including press releases, op-eds, media advisories, and briefing notes tailored to the health and life sciences audience
• Serve as the main point of contact for media inquiries and support the preparation of spokespeople for interviews and public engagements
• Manage and create content for our blog, podcast, and social media to amplify press activity
• Develop and execute integrated communication strategies aligned with policy, advocacy, and member engagement goals
• Collaborate with the government and public affairs team to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
• Facilitate EUCOPE membership focused communications

Your Profile
Media and Press Expertise:

• Proven experience in media relations, securing coverage, and crafting content for external audiences. Existing relationships with Brussels or health policy journalists are a strong advantage
• Communication Skills: Strong writing and organizational capacity; fluent in English, with additional EU languages an asset
• Digital Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Suite, WordPress, and social media; knowledge of SEO and multimedia content is a bonus
