Job Opening: Policy Officer

EUCOPE – The European Confederation of Pharmaceutical Entrepreneurs – is growing! We are looking for a talented and motivated Policy Officer to join our dynamic team and support our mission to represent innovative small and mid-sized companies in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors across the EU. The Policy Officer will be supporting EUCOPE’s work in the areas of rare diseases and ATMPs among other policy areas.

Your Role
As a Policy Officer, you will:

• Support and manage at least one of EUCOPE’s Working Groups, including agenda setting, meeting facilitation, and work programme delivery
• Monitor and analyse EU health-related legislative and policy developments
• Draft reports, policy papers, and position statements
• Support advocacy and stakeholder engagement activities
• Represent EUCOPE in external working groups and multi-stakeholder initiatives
• Collaborate with other European trade associations and partners

Your Profile

• 1–2 years of experience in public affairs, ideally in consultancy, private sector, NGOs, or EU institutions
• Solid understanding of EU institutions and legislative processes
• Academic background in political science, law, public health, economics, or related fields
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other EU languages a plus)
• Strong interest in health policy, medical innovation, and regulatory affairs
• Organised, analytical, and a proactive team player
