To strengthen our work on some of the most important pharmaceutical, biotechnology and industrial policy files shaping the future of the European life sciences sector, we are seeking a Senior Policy Manager / Associate Director, based on level of experience.

Your Role

As Senior Policy Manager / Associate Director, you will:

• Lead EUCOPE’s work on non-orphan specific aspects of the General Pharmaceutical Legislation (GPL), Biotech Act, AMR, and Critical Medicines Act (CMA) framework.
• Follow and lead EUCOPE’s engagement on emerging industrial policy initiatives relevant to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
• Manage policy monitoring and analysis, position development, and advocacy related to the files.
• Coordinate and lead relevant working groups, member meetings, webinars, and external events.
• Draft position papers, consultation responses, briefing materials, and advocacy messages.
• Manage EUCOPE’s relationship with the EU Health Coalition and represent EUCOPE in coalition meetings and joint initiatives.

Your Profile

• Degree in European Affairs, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Life Sciences, Health Policy, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of relevant professional experience in EU public affairs, government affairs, policy, trade associations, consultancy, EU institutions, or the healthcare/life sciences sector.
• Strong understanding of and experience with EU legislative and policymaking processes.
• Knowledge of EU pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or industrial policy.
• Excellent drafting and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex issues into clear policy positions.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Experience managing working groups, task forces, or multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Existing network within EU institutions and the healthcare policy community.
• Additional European language(s) considered an asset.
