Compounding as a specialism: a European perspective

EUCOPE will be participating as a speaker at an event titled “Compounding as a specialism: a European perspective”, that is being organised by the Dutch association of specialised compounding pharmacies (NGB). The symposium is taking place over the course of a day on 22 September, between 9 am – 6 pm (CET), in Veenendaal, Netherlands and speakers from different countries will share their views on local rules and regulations and how regulatory harmonisation could provide a better balance between risks, effectiveness and quality.

Our Public Affairs and Policy Manager Matias Olsen will be speaking on behalf of EUCOPE to present our views on the possible complementary role of compounding to address individual patients needs when an authorised alternative is not available and the need for a level playing field, highlighting some key legislative changes which we think should be introduced in the pharmaceutical legislation.
