Looking ahead to the upcoming Spanish EU Council Presidency

Tuesday 20 June | 12.30-13.00 networking lunch, 13.00-14.00 interactive discussion

APCO Worldwide Office, Rue Montoyer 47, 5th Floor, 1000 Brussels

You are warmly invited to an APCO Forum event on the upcoming Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU. We will be joined by our strategic partner in Spain, Harmon, who will offer insights into the current domestic situation and any upstream effects for Brussels in the second half of 2023. As the country enters its second electoral campaign of the year, Spain will have to tackle a snap election at the same time as undertaking the challenge of being the last, uninterrupted, EU Council Presidency before the 2024 European elections.

We hope you can join us for an informal, Chatham House discussion on the priorities, key actors, and political developments of the upcoming Spanish Presidency.

Joining us from Harmon are Borja Bergareche, Partner and Director for Corporate Communications and Corporate Leadership, and Roger Pallarés, Manager of Corporate Affairs working on sectors such as energy and tech.

Our discussion will be moderated by Lily Reisser, Deputy Managing Director for APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office, with insights from Jacob Moroza-Rasmussen, who has recently joined APCO after having served for 11 years as Secretary General of the ALDE Party.

The networking lunch will offer a great opportunity to personally meet our guests, and there will be plenty of time at the end of the discussion for your questions.
