Launch Event
As global competition in life sciences intensifies, Europe stands at a pivotal crossroads, where policy decisions may determine its future sustainability as a critical hub for innovation and investments. On 14 November, EUCOPE and FTI Consulting are excited to officially launch the report: ‘The Economic Lens: Understanding What Makes the EU Attractive for Life Sciences’.
The event will feature a keynote speech by Member of European Parliament, Stine Bosse, as well as expert panelists who will explore the report’s key findings. They will engage in an interactive dialogue on strategies to maintain Europe’s competitiveness. The discussion will focus on safeguarding our strong universities and unique research capabilities, ensuring that capital is made more readily available, and framework conditions ensuring that life science companies will continue to invest in R&D and manufacturing in Europe.
This discussion will be timely, as the new College of Commissioners is expected to take office by the end of the year. Ensuring EU action on competitiveness in a challenging international context will be a key priority of this new mandate.
