EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards 2020: Nominations open!

The nominations for the EURORDIS Black Pearl Awards 2020 are now open until 13 September 2019!

The Black Pearl Awards is an annual event organised by EURORDIS, the alliance of more than 800 rare disease patient organisations, to recognise the outstanding achievements and exceptional work of people making a difference for the rare disease community. Taking place in February in Brussels to mark the occasion of Rare Disease Day, the ceremony celebrates the inspirational qualities of people living with a rare disease along with those who go that extra mile to make a difference to their lives.

Awards are presented to patient advocates, organisations, policy makers, scientists, companies and media for their major achievements and their outstanding commitment to the rare disease cause. Nominations are submitted by the general public and shortlisted by an ad hoc committee.
