Consultation on EU Pharmaceutical Strategy

The European Commission just opened the public consultation on its proposed pharmaceutical strategy for the EU.

In the Commission’s words, the strategy intends to ‘address the current issues of access, availability and affordability of medicines, while still promoting sustainable innovation and support EU industry to remain an innovator and world leader. It also aims to strengthen the current system and help it respond to public health threats such as the coronavirus pandemic, without compromising patient safety‘.

The consultation is open until 15 September, and EUCOPE, together with its members, will send a consolidated response.
